THE ATRIUM ON THE AVENUE
Unique Event Space
The Atrium is a fully-enclosed, multi-functional, multi-level event space, originally created to benefit the commercial tenants based at The Avenue. The space boasts 11 metre high ceilings, a raised stage, full AV system, an impressive video wall, multiple seating areas and 2 tiers of viewing decks.
The Atrium's eye-catching 'Territory Billabong' theme epitomizes the special appeal of the Northern Territory. The unique space provides Territory businesses with a stunning backdrop to promote themselves as well as our great Territory. It also provides Territory residents with a stunning space - requiring no decoration - to host a Territory-style event, without the added pest of mozzies, storms & humidity.
See if this stunning representation of Territorian landscape is
the perfect setting for your next event or business conference.
The Atrium's design features flowing water, dry rockbeds, and lush greenery, as well as the perennial, 'dead but not gone' Australian gumtree, which makes for a stunning backdrop for any event. The stage, representing a pier on the waters edge, provides a theatrical presentation platform for guest speakers. The space also includes a stunning V-formation of marine grade, stainless steel magpie geese, sculpted by incredibly talented indigenous artist, Wayne 'Liwingu' McGinness from Aborignal Steel Art.
The billabong theme was chosen to compliment The Avenue's external facade, featuring magpie geese taking flight. The magpie geese design, entitled 'A Timeless Grand Procession' was designed by Territorian businessman, James Carter. His design was selected by a panel of 5, out of thousands of entries to the 'Territory Reflections' competition, which was run by the building's developer via the NT News in 2012.
